In this introductory live presentation, we will present an overview of why recruiting can be such a rewarding profession to pursue, and outline the key steps to take if you’re interested in pursuing the work — whether you’re brand-new college graduate, an established professional looking to make a change, or anyone seeking supplementary or part-time income.
We will show you how you can start from anywhere, regardless of your training or background. She’ll explain why recruiting has one of the shortest “ramp up” times from “square one” to legitimate paychecks of virtually any corporate specialty. Finally, she’ll share how she became a recruiter herself (hint: by accident!) and why it’s been such a fantastic path for her.

Back in the early 2000s, I was working as a copywriter for a tech company in the Bay Area. I knew nothing at all about recruiting. But then I was assigned to a project writing job descriptions for the HR department, which landed me in a desk beside the company Recruiter. In a matter of days of listening to that Recruiter in action, I was hooked on doing the idea of becoming a Recruiter myself!
Nearly twenty years later, I’ve made a fulfilling and lucrative career as a Recruiter. But if I hadn’t chanced upon that exposure to the career back in the early aughts, I might’ve never known it was an option.
